The Future of Sports Conference is MSMC’s flagship sports management conference. Each year, MSMC hosts a range of speakers/moderators from Canada’s largest sports & entertainment companies to share their experiences and insight of working in the industry. Our goal is to attract students from all faculties and offer something that interests all McGill students alike. We hope to inspire, educate, and set the foundation for new connections to be made.
MSMC x MDN - The Impact of Data Analytics in the World of Sports
Held annually, this collaboration with the McGill Data Network shows you how to combine analytics with sports to create a lifelong career! An incredibly high-demand set of skills paired with your favourite hobby makes for a pretty enticing career path. This event provides the opportunity to hear from sports analytics professionals in a compact single evening event. Data is all around us, and it’s in our favourite sports in ways you can’t imagine!
MLSE Case Competition
The MLSE Case Competition was a marketing-oriented case presented by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment in partnership with MSMC. The competition provided a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the kind of work being performed by sports management organizations while competing with other universities across the nation. Students have the opportunity to demonstrate their ambition and skills to one of the top employers in the Canadian sports industry and understand more concretely what’s involved in a career in sports marketing.
